“Чтобы поверить в добро, надо начать делать его.” Л.Н.Толстой.
“In order to believe in good it is necessary to begin to make/do it.” Tolstoy.

Where I consider home: Candia, New Hampshire.
Why it matters for me to be on this expedition: I participated in a weeklong Equine Enhanced Learning course with Pam and Paul in the spring of 2009. I never imagined it would have as profound an effect on me as it did. Pam and Paul’s course left me with a lot of unexpected personal and professional questions. I see this expedition as a uniquely poignant avenue to explore these questions.
Influential book or movie: The Magus by John Fowles. It was one of the only books my host family had in English. I stumbled upon it two months into my stay. I locked myself in my bedroom in St. Petersburg, Russia for almost a day and a half. It is hard for me to say whether the book or the reading experience affected me more. Something about the world Fowles created, and the world I was in, made me feel that book in a way I had never felt in a book before.
If I could change one thing in the world it would be: I would like to see the people of the world (and myself!) be more intentional. I think that if we took the time to be as intentional as possible in our thoughts and actions there would be a lot of positive change in the world.

Hey Andy!
Just thought I would drop you a little note here on your expedition page. I cannot believe that you are out there taking on the trail with Pam and Paul. I hope all is well and sounds like your got paired back up with Penny, which from your page sounds like is going well. Don’t let her bite you though! its the gate way to many bad habits…. trust me. Send my best to Pam and Paul.

Hey Andy,
Look forward to hearing more about your adventure when you return. After this you will have expertise in horses AND poodles. I have some guy in my P & M class that says he knows you like a brother.
Hope the trip is working on many different levels.
